Purpose
The purpose of our Blood and Platelet Support initiative is to provide essential care for children battling serious blood disorders and cancers, such as thalassemia and leukaemia. These conditions often result in dangerously low platelet counts and anaemia, necessitating regular transfusions of packed red blood cells and platelets to sustain their health. Thalassemia, a chronic genetic disorder, requires lifelong treatment, including frequent blood transfusions and iron management. By offering reliable and timely blood component therapy, we aim to ensure that these children receive the critical support they need to fight these life-threatening diseases and improve their chances of survival

Process
For the sake of understanding, we would like to make it clear that this is a voluntary donation
We partner with hospitals to raise awareness about the importance of blood and platelet donations and collaborate with various organizations, companies, individuals, and institutions to organize blood donation drives and educate the public on the significance of platelet donation
Team Anjezë coordinates and organises blood donation drives in partnership with organisations to encourage community participation and raise awareness and focuses on educating the community about platelet donation, emphasising its critical role in the treatment of conditions like thalassemia and leukaemia
Our team helps the hospital on creating and maintaining a donor database specifically for platelet donations, ensuring hospitals have access to a reliable pool of platelet donors
